Pyrex Storage Plus and CSNStores.com - Review

I recently opened my front door to find a big brown box from CSNStores.com.

When I opened that big brown box I found this... (queue angels singing)


I love bowls, love them. Luke would say that I have too many. I would say that I will never have enough. Same thing goes for serving platters.

When the folks at CSNStores.com asked me to check out there site and share my thoughts with you I went directly to the housewares section first. You guys know I like to cook right?

I oogled cookware and place settings, drinkware and various kitchen tools and eventually decided to try out the Pyrex Storage Plus 18 Piece Set. The set of round glass dishes includes two 7-cup dishes and matching lids, two 4-cup dishes and lids, three 2-cups dishes and lids and two 1-cup glass dishes with matching lids.


My Thoughts:

Luke takes leftovers for work at least 3 or 4 times a week so I though glass bowls with lids would be perfect for us. Now I can package up our dinner leftovers when we finish dinner and then Luke can easily pack up his lunch and when the time comes put his leftovers directly in the microwave and then eat them straight from the microwave. He loves not having to pour his lunch onto a different plate or bowl to heat it up and eat it. Everything happens in one bowl and a plastic bowl is not a part of the equation.

I recently made Peanut Butter and Jelly Pancakes and scrambled eggs for dinner. I knew our evening was going to be a bit busy so I was able to make all my pancake batter, strawberry sauce and whisk my eggs and put everything in the refrigerator for later.


I really liked being able to make everything in advance and have it stored away in stackable see through bowls in the refrigerator. The lids on these bowls seal nicely and I have yet to have an sort of leak or spill.

My Final Say:

CSN Stores has quite a large selection to choose from, which is a great thing. It can be an over whelming thing too. There is so much to see and choose from it is pretty amazing all the different options CSNstores.com has to offer. I enjoyed shopping around the CSN Stores site but I would like to see a further break down of the categories to make shopping a little easier.

The Pyrex Storage Plus 18 Piece Set is great, I love the flexibility it had brought to my kitchen for food storage and food prep. I would recommend looking into getting this set or a set like this for your own kitchen, especially if you are trying to avoid using plastic bowls in the microwave. My one criticism is that while the glass bowls can stack while empty they do not stack as easily as empty plastic bowls do. It just means that they take up a bit more space in my cupboard but I definitely prefer them to plastic storage bowls. The Pyrex Storage Plus 18 Piece Set retails from CSNStores.com for $29.99.
